Welcome to the Kitchen! The best feature is the
door to keep little children out while you are cooking.
Cooking? You know, that thing I do two nights a week?
|
At the end of our kitchen, you find the totally worthless washer/dryer machine. It sounds space saving and convenient. It washes and then dries. But not really.
It can handle one outfit at a time, and even then it
takes three hours, leaving your clothes still damp. I thought laundry was a chore when I had my super capacity washer and dryer. There's not a word in the English language that describes what it is now.
|
|
Standing at the washer/dryer, looking back towards
the door is our stove/oven/electric cooker, and
our fridge that is a foot shorter than I am.
Going to the market is a daily occurrence.
|
The infamous switch that allows you to use the oven
can be found on the wall next to the door to
the kitchen. Make a note of it.

Welcome to Nathan and Benjamin's Room!
|
One of the Ikea dressers we purchased.
Ben is showing you how to put his clothes away. Well, actually it more like how a one year old can unload an entire dresser in less than two minutes. Too bad there isn't an Olympic sport that could showcase his talent.

|
Nathan's bed and Benjamin's skinny long crib.
We are so glad we brought Nathan's quit and
Ben's bumper to brighten the place up.
|
At our old house, we had an extra bedroom
called "the toy room". Now we have toys in the
bedroom, which thrills the kids and keeps
the living room a lot neater! Fortunately, this room is the size of their old bedroom and toy room put together.

Welcome to the boy's bathroom!
Also known as the "Soak Daddy" room
during nightly baths.
|
The sink and toilet that Nathan is not scared to use.
Read on.

Welcome to the Master Bathroom!
|
Ben likes to explore this toilet. Good thing housekeeping cleans it every single day. But want to know why he
likes it so much? Check out the next photo.
|
|
There are buttons to push! Nathan calls it "the Machine Toilet" and will NOT use it or even be in the same room with it (it does make a low humming sound). It's very similar to our toilet in Japan, only the one in Japan had a remote. Great fun for walking down the hall and hitting
the "Bidet" function on an unsuspecting guest!
|
Ben explores the cabinets, which
are not easily baby-proofed.
|
|
The Bathroom Counter.
|
The Master Shower and Bath Tub.
Nice for long soaks after long walks.
|
|
The master bed with a couple of bed bugs in it.
|
The real webmaster. The top desk
drawer contains my hairdryer. There is
no plug in the bathroom for it,
so I dry my hair and check
email at the same time.
